Scott,

Let me see if I can define (publicly) what is the most significant problem I'm seeing, and I'm switching back and forth between classic and new using IE5.5 with the font "size" button which I have placed on my toolbar (others might not).

19" monitor - 800x600

If I view a single post (or multiple posts by hitting "Next") the font is fine and with IE5.5 I can choose a font size for the message that is suitable, varying from small to large.

Everything fits properly on the screen if I use (font size) smallest, smaller, medium, and larger - but not largest.

However - If I get multiple posts (more than 2) by using "Next 10", after viewing the first and OK post, I then on subsequent posts get the high narrow serif font I really object to (especially with italics, bolds, or bold italics) and I can't vary the font with the "size" button, which then only effects toolbar headers and such.

- Eric -

fwiw....

i am using ie5.5 with win2000pro and i have had no probs with either fonts or with editing. i checked netscape communicator4.76 and that looks fine also.

i dual boot with win98se, so in a couple of minutes i'll get out of win2000 and see what w98se looks like with the above two browsers. then i'll post back

:)
