Would you believe I spent 1 hour on the phone with the owner of this small broker 'AF Trader'? Unreal.. bottom line is 'tough cookies'.. He said they dont have to notify me but yet in the same sentence he kept saying that my 'grace' period expired to come up with the funds for the trade.. and when I kept reminding him that they never sent me a margin call or informed me there was a problem, he kept saying I should have seen it reflected in my account. Whats even more interesting is that I held the trade for about 5 minutes. Thats buy/sell.. Not over night.. and to make matters even MORE interesting, the daytrading buying power in my account was flawed (still is) and shows an extra $3000 (in other words, if account value is 20,000- it shows I have buying power of 43,000... bottom line here Tom is that im pretty much SOL.. but it gets interesting because the guy simply does not want to close my account! I sent 3 faxes telling them to close my account and finally today at 3pm I had to call to initiate the closing of my account.. and ill bet you 10 bucks that come next week it still wont be closed.. I cant even tell you how small the account is its embarrasing, and so it blows my mind that they do not want to just get 'rid' of me.. Im really taken back by this entire ordeal because I deal with sleazy people all day, and yet it still to this day amazes me just how much utter filth has found a home on wallstreet.. Something tells me that next week im going to be putting some calls into some people I typically dont speak with except in cases of emergencies- and ill be paying a visit to the America First trading offices and grabbing the first items I can get my hands on that will in my eyes equal fair value for my account.. I have a funny feeling that this organization is about to go belly up.. wonderful They can keep my frickn money from the ICIX trade.. I just want my account balance closed and refunded.. It wont be that easy tho..
