ADC and Herrick Douglass Form Strategic Alliance to Provide OSS Solutions to U.S. Telecom Market

Alliance will Allow Integrated Communications Providers to Share Common Customer Information and Further Automate Business Processing
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 2001-- ADC (Nasdaq: ADCT; www.adc.com), a leading global supplier of fiber optics, network equipment, software and integration services for broadband multiservice networks and Herrick Douglass, Inc., a provider of high-end project management, quality assurance, and applications development services in the information technology industry, today announced a strategic alliance to jointly market integrated e-Business solutions to the telecommunications market. Herrick Douglass is the successor under the alliance agreement to Inteliant Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of SOS Staffing Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOSS), as a result of Herrick Douglass's recent acquisition of Inteliant's consulting division.

Under the terms of the alliance, Herrick Douglass will market Singl.eView(TM), the real-time convergent billing and integrated customer management component of ADC's Singularit.e(TM), as its primary billing application. Singularit.e is ADC's comprehensive OSS framework for real-time customer contact and service management in a broadband network. Herrick Douglass will also provide product integration services for ADC to several industry-leading customer relationship management (CRM), order management/provisioning and e-Business platform providers.

Herrick Douglass offers an end-to-end suite of services to the telecommunications industry. Its relationship with ADC provides ICPs with a market-leading solution that insures accurate billing information is established from the outset, minimizing downstream billing errors. The solution also optimizes customer service operations through the use of a unified single desktop, displaying real-time, accurate financial information, managed by Singl.eView, within account management services at Herrick Douglass. The integrated solution eliminates the complexity of working with multiple applications, and reduces the expenses associated with call center training and operations. The ICP's customers and partners will also be able to access financial information through web-based capabilities, to review information such as account balances, invoice histories, bill images and billing data, payment and adjustment statuses.
