With thousands of market timers out there, someone has to get it right. That's statistics, not skill. Also, who awards those "Timer of the Year" awards? If you look at Hulbert's data, there is no timer that outperforms the market on a long term basis. Mark Hulbert is probably the only person that evaluates these guys purely on the basis of performance and not on the basis of whether they will advertise in his publication or not.
