All software is connected in some way through the use of Java interfaces and GUI's

The programming world knows who developed Java, and remember this fact when they recommend hardware purchases to their CIO's

They actually make money from licenses of variants of Java

They don't break out the numbers, so you will not know exactly, nor do they probably, the costs and revenues from Java

Hi Thomas. So, what's been happening with Forte? Was it a
conference specific to Java servers and tools? We don't get
much news on that front. Is the community NetBeans thing
being adopted? Is Sun/Forte now where you might have
expected it/them to be a year ago?
