I build mobile networks. We call each other form one office to the other via mobile even though we are some 40 m apart. We have an open plan office, I go out to the corridor and talk about matters that do not concern other people. In developing countries it is status symbol. Imagine you are wathcing TV and someone has to use the phone. YOu just get called on your mobile and move over. Convenience is the name of the game. There is going to be one billion of them soon. One day we will conquer this bastion of the fixed line called US.
