Capt, I'm thinking of using this firm for executions.What's the biggest problem that anyone has with them? Just read back the last 1,000 messages and you'll know them all.. just kidding. The biggest problem with IB is the reliability of direct links to ECNs. These have problems too often, and disrupt the Best Execution algorithm, besides reducing the number of execution options available. For Nasdaq stocks, this can be a significant problem. One of the best things you cn do to protect yourself from system problems is to visit the chat room and get an early indication when problems occur. You'll hear plenty of griping and complaining about everything that goes wrong, but you will soon learn what is going to hurt you and what you can work around.
