Some IP phone lily pond data......

pingtel.com
"Market Opportunity. The IP (Internet Protocol) telephony market is projected to skyrocket from $480 million in 1999 to $19 billion by 2004 according to International Data Corp. (IDC) projections."

The figures above must include IP phone infrastructure equipment. By my calculations this requires a CAGR of 109%.

Frost & Sullivan Provides Analysis of the Latest Developments in the Global VoIP Market
nuera.com
"Shipments for this year (2000) will total over 790,000 units, and unit shipments will almost double each year for the next several years.

According to strategic research conducted by Frost & Sullivan (www.frost.com), IP Phone and Appliance revenues for the total world market are projected to reach $2.7 billion in 2006".

Regards
JC.

PS. Any ideas on the ASP of an IP phone ?
(2.7 Billion)/(ASP of IP Phone) = number of phones ?
