Why did she bother? I wouldn't presume to guess her motives. I'm only reporting my observation FWIW. Also FWIW, in my role as amateur cultural anthropologist... I observed a crack or two in the monolith. Someone made an apparently racist remark and a couple of posters jumped in to chastise him. And more than one poster made fun of one of their brethren, Trent Lott. A faint glimmer of hope on the path to consensus, sez I. But then, I'm a cockeyed optimist. Karen
