Eski...I was using cable modem but.....I had to stop using it because I couldn't get a constant stream of data. The data coming from my quotes service would freeze up for a couple of seconds then I would get a burst of data and this would happen intermittently all day long. At first I thought it was the quote service but.....(I'm still just a kid at heart) when I would play QuakeII capture the flag on the internet the same thing would happen. I would get the same intermittent freezes. I had the phone company install ISDN lines and brought everything up and am not getting the problem anymore. It's more expensive (and not as much bandwidth) but I don't have to worry that something's going to go wrong. Also as I discussed this with others, they confirmed the same thing and that cable (in general) modem service does not provide the same type of streaming data that DSL/ISDN does. (I'll be trying DSL in the next couple of weeks) As far as general downloads, etc. cable service is great and cost effective. Anyway sorry the post is so long. Just FYI in case you ever have the same symptoms. Thanks, John.
