I have earned all kinds of epitaphs for beating the drum of realistic metrics for valuation. I do not plan to stop now. William is one of the few people who persists in this type of hype IMO.

GST,

I may not have been clear meaning I was not stating your perception was correct or not regarding valuations. Each person has differing opinions and I suppose one could debate forever who is correct. I was only saying that William pursues high growth and correspondingly high PE stocks that have more volatility than many others. On the other hand, your style is more conservative and your perception of the same data is different. My only point was/is William is not hyping. He is showing his excitement about valuations of stocks that he strongly beleives will do well. I know he is not trying to make a stock move by posting something about it on SI. That is not even realistic. He is not hyping but rather is posting his picks as stocks to buy as many of us do. I see almost no one using SI as a forum to benefit their own stock picks. That is my point. William certainly owned some if not many stocks that suffered a lot of downside during the year 2000. I owned some too. I do not know if William has other non volatile holdings. It is not my business. I also did not see William complaining about the losses. William is not out to try and talk everyone into buying highly volatile stocks. I hardly ever see him taking the first initiative (if ever) to pick a fight over someone elses picks or investing style. Really think about everyone's behavior and I believe we will find some fault with everyone. I hope for more tolerane of opinions is all. We could go back to bullish posts on ISLD. ISLD is now far lower. One might argue it is not a good company or they are not executing well in anyway. One might argue it is undervalued. ISLD is not dominant in streaming media space but their focus is a little different than let's say AKAM. You like ISLD. William likes AKAM. Both have a lot of ground to gain back.

This thread as all the threads would be far better if we were all more tolerant of other's opinions and their way of expressing it.I do not believe that is asking a lot of anyone of us here.

Glenn

>> I have earned all kinds of epitaphs ...

GST, I sincerely hope that any epitaphs will be many many years away. In the mean time, you may have many epithets hurled at you.
