It is not. I use it and hate it. I bypass it using phone as modem with PDA and use a proxy server to directly address web sites by their URL, through my ISP and the proxy and get V.90 effective speeds, with graphics stripped.

Average Verizoneuser does not know how to do that.

All part of figuring out how to use wireless data to ones advantage.

Today's devices make it pretty crude.
