However, it's difficult to me to understand why conservatives don't question Bush's sudden decision to send our troops to Somalia, right after he lost the election to Clinton. It was a highly unusual move, with highly unusual timing, and had no historical precedent. After years and years of violence and misery in Somalia, why did Bush decide to start a military operation, right before he left office. It smells. I hope we never, again, see that type of conduct by a President, after losing his bid for re-election.
