Clinton mishandled Somalia. However, it's difficult to me to understand why conservatives don't question Bush's sudden decision to send our troops to Somalia, right after he lost the election to Clinton. It was a highly unusual move, with highly unusual timing, and had no historical precedent.

After years and years of violence and misery in Somalia, why did Bush decide to start a military operation, right before he left office. It smells. I hope we never, again, see that type of conduct by a President, after losing his bid for re-election.
