OK, I'll buy that advice. I'm playing it long here, but I do remember the big runup from the '74 disaster also had a pretty nasty pullback before things got back to normal. Perhaps it is because those who have suffered a really big decline recently (you know people like that, I'm sure)... don't wish to particpate again when a new call goes out for volunteers.... usually with that sage advice accompanying which asserts that "you should not try to time the market". Which I now take to mean: "hang in there and hold those stocks so that I can sell mine more easily"...
Given all that, I'll play long but look to capital preservation -- at the first hint that we are passing the 20th floor <gg>..
