Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN ) was cut by our buddy Joe Osha at Merrill Lynch. He cut his estimate from $1.61 to $1.40 for 2001. He maintains that it is still a buy recommendation, but that is just proforma. If you are going to cut your estimate that much at this point, you are basically telling people to get out of the stock.

Murphy has TXN as a buy with a taget of $120...
