Actually, given the recent acquisitions, I would expect Broadcom to announce a split after earnings are out. Any one else share this outlook? I've been more concerned about this earnings report than any. I bought the stock in Dec. 1998 and it now comprises almost half of my "fun money" portfolio, which is way too much. I probably need to sell some to rebalance. I'd like to wait until after earnings but I'm very nervous because of the softness of companies like CSCO. I think the earnings for the quarter will be good but if there's any kind of warning about future numbers I think we'll get hit hard. Joe
