Just woke up, so I looked in: Yes, the trick is, I believe, that most DSL can go faster, but is more expensive than cable, so most people go with a lower stream rate.Also, 56 k never got much above 45k. Freeing the phone line was the original idea, rather than just add another line. No dial up, no bump off, high speeds, these made this solution much more attractive. Watching some broadband multi media, or doing some downloading, and I have to say, this really realizes the potential of the Internet.If they could lower the price, I agree, it would swamp the competition......
