RE: "I don't think he deserves the abuse some take glee in dishing out ..."

That thought brings two questions to mind. First, does Bob deserve the abuse? Secondly, do some take glee in dishing out the abuse?

The first question, whether or not Bob deserves the abuse, is a question that I'm not in a position to answer. I really don't know the man. Some obviously feel that they are in a position to make a judgement on that issue. They judge that he does indeed deserve abuse.

As far as the second question, it appears to me that some do take glee in dishing out the abuse. I doubt very much, however, that dishing out the abuse really makes them happy. They are simply driven to apply the amount of abuse that they have judged he deserves.

Furthermore, I would guess that many feel that Bob deserves more abuse than they or anyone else could ever apply using the vehicle of internet talk threads or chat rooms. Thus, the abuse on this and other threads will continue ad infinitum.

Best wishes,

I2

"I've seen nothing to support the assertion that he lacks integrity."

I dont care about most of the things you mentioned...some bad stock picks, name calling, etc. BUT WHEN A BAD CALL IS MADE...OWN UP TO IT! Don't pretend it never happened.

After the bulletin comes out, he sends the next newsletter almost totally ignoring the advice that was in the bulletin. And then when people question it on the bulletin boards, he kicks them off. Then, when subscribers bad mouth his advice, he kicks them off. Then, when the tide of negative comments is overwhelming, he shuts down the boards. When people call the show on the QQQ trade, he screens them out...and if they sneak by the screener, he shuts them off.

IS AVOIDING ACCOUNTABILITY THE SAME AS A LACK OF INTEGRITY? Would like to hear what others think on this subject.

Pete I would under "normal circumstances" agree with what you have said but, I would hardly consider the Brinker phenomenon to be classified as normal. My take is Bob is just one of those people that can only be happy living on the edge. He has to be the center of attention to be happy. I would think he has all the money he and subsequent generation could spend. So what is his motivation? Ego, celebrity status, or history breaking market timing? I really don’t care. I judge people not by how "successful" they are but by the way they conduct themselves. I would say using the reasonable doubt standard Bob’s conduct is suspect at best.

I am sure you aware of all the under handed dirty tricks that were pulled on people at his site in order to try to hide his true record. The banning of posters, the stealing of identities, the posting under alias names. Come on now is this any way to act? You may say that we have no direct proof that Bob personally did those things but, it is his site with his name on it. The buck stops at Bob! If that is all the better he can do I sure don’t want to support him or that type of behavior. I would hope by sharing that info nobody else would either. Sooner of later Bob will have treated all his loyal followers badly. Then he will be the only one left. Call it reaping what you sew, Karma or what ever.

As we commemorate the 10 year milestone of the gulf war remember how loyal Sadam’s troops were to him after years of intimidation and mistreatment. Surrendering to news crews yup that is loyalty. I hope Bob's defeat is not violent but I am sure it will be ugly and loud. He wouldn't have it any other way imo.

I've seen nothing to support the assertion that he lacks integrity and is not trying his best to get it right for subscribers. I don't think he deserves the abuse some take glee in dishing out and in his shoes

How in the world do you think his actions are of benefit to his subscribers? He ignores pleas for help by shutting down the discussion boards. He cuts off subscribers who are in this mess when they honestly criticize his work. How do you defend any business that acts like that?

He started all of this. It is simply a reasonable human reaction to his actions. If he changed his actions, the reaction would also change. No one can do that but him.

Pete, thanks for your comments. Bob is controversial, that's for sure.
