Baltimore used up a season's worth of luck in the victories over the Jets and the Titans . . . We will see won't we... People tend to focus on offense but there ARE three phases to the game, offense, defense and special teams. The only decent defenses Oakland ran into this year were denver, saints and pittsburgh. They are 1-3 vs. good defense. The Ravens defense is much better than any defense they've faced this year. The Ravens will cover or win out right. The key to the game is whether the Ravens can run the ball. If the Raiders don't make to many mistakes it should be a low scoring event. IMHO Tom

Most ridiculous statement this week. Trev Alberts (paraphrasing) "You cant win if you complete just 5 passes". Uhhh, Trev, please tell that to Jeff Fisher. Dumba$$. Most incomplete analysis this week... attributable to many... "You cant win if your defense is on the field for 40 minutes." One reason the Ravens D was on the field for so long was that the D returned a TD, their reward was to go back on the field. Another was the Titans had a long drive but had to settle for the blocked FG-return TD play... so the D was rewarded with another immediate visit to the field. After those 2 events, the D went to prevent and allowed the short stuff to seal the game. Bottom line... teams win games. Baltimore is a solid team and today they are a great bet with +6 points. Raiders are ranked #25 vs the pass. Even Dilfer can exploit that. Way out prediction... Dilfer to Brandon Stokley will be the key play of the game. Ravens.... bringing light to the black hole. Paul
