ERICSSON: CONTINUES TO NEGOTIATE WITH MOBILCOM
(News agency Direkt) -- Ericsson continues to negotiate with Mobilcom about the details of the UMTS contract that was signed between the parties last fall.

"We have negotiated with Mobilcom since the fall. It was a frame agreement that was signed and now we`re in talks about the details," said Par Altan, information director for Ericsson Mobile Systems, to News Agency Direkt.

The deal between the two companies was valued to 1.6 billion euro when it was unveiled in October. Altan didn`t want to say whether this figure could be revised.

"We don`t want to comment on this further since negotiations are ongoing," he said but added that it`s not unusual that operators choose several suppliers when building a network.

Ericsson couldn`t say when negotitaions are expected to be finished.
