Hi Steve, I was about to log off for the night and caught your message. Amazing that they were even born at the same time. They were lucky. but don't we all tend to remember the good times after a tragedy happens? Certainly a sign of closure. Yes, I agree with this. I think it's human nature to remember the past with a rather rose-colored perspective, unless the past was traumatic, in which case the nature of the memory is very different. Personally, I think our minds are doing us a favor by glossing over the rough spots. I think YYB's and X's points are valid as well (she said diplomatically<g>) in that there has been much progress in the qualityof life in this century. We still have a long way to go, but in the end, I'm grateful to have been born in the 1950's rather than in the 1910's. Well, I'm off to a dinner. You have a good night in Jersey. I'm in Ct, BTW.
