(Bush) His workday as governor of Texas is "two hard half-days," as his chief of staff, Clay Johnson, describes it.
He puts in the hours from 8 to 11:30 A.M., breaking it up with a series of 15-minute meetings, sometimes
10-minute meetings, but rarely is there a 30-minute meeting, says Johnson. At 11:30 he's "outtahere." He
tries everything possible to have at least two hours of what he calls private time in the middle of the day to
go over to the University of Texas track or run a hard three to five miles on a concrete path at a pace of
7.5 minutes a mile, then relax and return to the office at 1:30, where he'll play some video golf or computer
solitaire until about three, and then it's back to the second "hard half-day" until 5:30."

Sueponine, during the election George Bush ran as a moderate, but when he nominated John Ashcroft for the position of Attorney General, Bush showed his true colors. In my opinion, John Ashcroft is a right-wing religious fanatic who cannot separate his public life from his private life. According to the constitution, there should be a separation between Church and State. Not every American is a Christian. And not every Ameircan is a right-wing religious fanatic. Surely, Bush could have chosen a moderate candidate for the position of Attorney General..

Ashcroft's father was an Assembilies of God preacher. It is my misfortune to have relatives who belong to this religious group as well. Actually, I'd call them a cult. Are they racist? Yes.

What do they do now that they are retired?

They travel around the United States and the world to build churches.

Once the churches are built they are out of there. They don't hang around to help the people who attend the new Assemblies of God church. They build the churches for low-income people.

The reason my relatives travel to the foreign countries to build these churches is because they get an all-expense paid working vacation, a vacation where they can work and relax with people who share their own right-wing religious views.

I have a dream, Sueponine. I believe that one day in another election in Florida every vote will be counted
