Need for CDMA (Qualcom) patents for SpectruCell At the time that the Neil Boucher evaluation was prepared, February 8, 2000 - almost a year ago, SpectruCell was in its early stages of development. As it is a dynamic technology, much has changed in that year since that report was done. In the January 8th, 2001 PR, eleven months after Mr. Boucher's report, it was noted that: "ACT Australia recently filed two patent applications related to the software implementation of CDMA (IS-95) and GSM on an SDR platform. The CDMA functionality was achieved without the use of Qualcomm chipsets or any other protocol specific hardware."
