OTOT I do know some of the particulars of John Ashcroft's voting record - as per the "confirmation of minority appointees (the judicial branch in particular)" During his time in the Senate, he confirmed 26 of 28 black judges Clinton put up for consideration. One of the other 2 was withdrawn. The other was Ronnie White. Yup, he looks like a real racist...NOT! And since when did the "Death Penalty" become illegal any more than abortion? It's the law of the land, if you don't like it, ammend the constitution. And how does any of the above reflect your original drive-by slander which was Ashcroft bringing back the McCarthy era? I think you need to stop channeling Ralph Neas. What you are doing is saying he can't do the job because he's conservative and religious... that and trying to get racist to stick too... what a crock.
