EToys is expected to run out of cash in March. The company remains unprofitable, and it recently warned that net sales would be as little as half of what Wall Street expected. Operating losses in the December quarter should be between 55 percent and 65 percent of revenue. EToys is expected to report earnings Jan. 25.

The company is having trouble dealing with all its creditors. Last week, EToys' accounts payable department stopped answering the phones. A recording says that the company, "is finding it extremely difficult to answer phone calls from creditors and vendors."
