The state of California invented the term disfunctional. Their markets only reflect its citizens in many respects. I wouldn't as you do, call them idiots.

The second part of your statement is probably true in any market, indeed any interaction between even just 2 individuals.... IMO that does not preclude truth in the first statement.. indeed it spotlights the simplicity of it as an economic truth.

As is so often the case, the rest of your supporting statements, jabs, and links are used to rebut a point not made.
