Because I can , at worse call in for touchtone qoutus and market conditions many times during the day, or at best have 3 or so websites open at a time while working, I mostly use stops to prevent a quick strong drop. Sometime's have even tried having a short sell in place with another account. Sell the long and flip to a short.
Works much better on those days when I can watch closely.

Not to much into using stops and limits unless it is bouncing very fast, and then I probably would pass on the play till it slowed a bit. Not worried about getting every little 1/16 or 1/32, even 1/8 as most the time when I get greedy, I lose.

Can't say i ever had a MM reach down and grab shares of mine...maybe and did not know it but.....
If the MM is reaching down, they are reaching down to get a large group of shares.
Leave my stops pretty loose as well. It's insurance or safefy net.

Watch DOW, NASDAQ and S&P movements closely as I was stocks. Also, market brief updates. Yahoo's are pretty good free, pay sites better.

Stare a stock charts at night till I go blind. Reading stock trends and personlity. Sometimes right, sometimes wrong. Always learning more.

Finding some interesting stocks from Sergio and Ken....
