After doing a google search and reading half a dozen websites, I believe the appropriate term may be an 'alley' of clowns.

Re collective term for clowns,

I think the simple a TROUPE of CLOWNS is most accurate.

The Oxford Dictionary describes a troupe as follows...

"a company of actors or acrobats etc."

I think acrobats are what clowns are in the financial sense.

e.g. he was one of the worlds formost financial acrobats
