I don't think race was merely "used" I think it was an integral part of the human tapestry that was the OJ Simpson case. Of course OJ's team "used" race- but the spectators to this, black and white and other, while being manipulated by the press and the OJ Simpson team, also brought their own racial perceptions to the table. And it is very true that blacks and whites perceive this issue differently. I, for example, perceive that we have made great strides in racial integration- a black person (according to statistics) would be less likely to perceive the world that way. Probably because I live in California and I am relatively white- so I haven't witnessed racial incidents. If I was black I would be more likely to have witnessed or been a part of an unpleasant racial incident by virtue of my color.

Skin color is such a superficial thing, but so is beauty- and we ALL know how important beauty is. Race is important- race is integral, but it does not have to be negative. I'm forever an optimist though.

Well, you have to give OJ some credit. True to his word, he has painstakingly searched for Nicole's real killer...on every golf course in the country. He has spared no effort, he has left no divot unturned.
