Those two celebrities did show a lack of respect. I doubt Clinton told them to jump on the bed. I've still never heard a good explanation of the basis for the indignation. Before Clinton, I never heard that we had a national belief as to who should or should not sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom, or any bedroom. If we were so concerned about the memory of Lincoln, we'd ban those damned Confederate flags, just like the Germans have banned display of the swastika.
