Barry,

How the presidents rank, from a survey of 78 scholars by the Federalist Society and The Wall Street Journal.

The Wall Street Journal is famous for their even handed political views.

BTW: I'm not obsessed with Gore's loss. I am very concerned however about the new idiot President.

Scumbria

Hi Scumbria/Barry, OT RE: "Hail to the Chiefs
How the presidents rank, from a survey of 78 scholars by the Federalist Society and The Wall Street Journal. "
-----------------------------------------------------

That list contains 100% men. Not one woman.

Other countries have had women leaders, while the US has never had a woman leader. Something is wrong with this so-called 'advanced' country.

On another note, I would suspect the bulk of the folks doing the ranking were men, since George Bush (Senior) is listed as high as #21.

On a different note, there was an article in the SJMN that listed 3 people (Baird, Wood, Chavez) that were denied a Cabinet post due to their involvement with illegal immigrants (e.g. two had nannies that were illegal immigrants). I was surprised the newspaper didn't point out that all 3 of these highly motivated government workers were all women. What might this suggest about the daycare situation in America? What might this suggest about the American culture? That the culture assumes the children are the wife's problem? That the top jobs are generally (and statistically) for men with wives at home? And why is that - maybe a daycare problem? Oh, I just remembered, Texas has one of the worst records for daycare. Too bad Sr. Bush didn't enact better legislation. What goes around, comes around

Regards,
Amy J
