The pup I bought is the son of an English bred confirmation champion that won the Lab Nationals.. The mother is yellow father black.. More important I went and met and saw both Mom and Dad of the dog.. They swam in the pool with the owners kids.. Gentle as lambs..The shorter kind of Lab but very wide and built like a brick shit house.. You take these dogs and turn them on their back and gently aply a little pressure.. If they can handle without being afraid or getting nippy.. You got a good one.. The one I got when I turned him over he licked and gently puppy mouth my hand.. He is a winner.. Probelm you just got to be careful with kids.. My golden turned bad in the end and I had to put him down cause he bit every one in the hosue cept me.. My best dog was Thor.. A flat coated retriever/mix.. Once pulled me out of a burning hotel room.. Still miss him..
