I owned the "flagship (j)Anus Fund" up untill mid March. I had two problems with them then: 1) Jim Craig, their longtime manager left, 2) It came to my attention how concentrated the holdings in the entire Janus family were, ie, Janus Fund had EXTREME overlap with Janus Twenty, Janus Olympus, Janus Worldwide, etc. It occurred to me that at some point that concentration would be to the detriment of the shareholders (and indeed it was, as their massive AOHell and (d)Hell holdings battered their performance later in the year. If you want a real "fan's" opinion, ask Luc what he thinks of 'em....I think their top 10 holdings are all shorts of his!<G>
