GreenKeeper: I would be ecstatic if the NASDAQ hits 4000 by March 2002. I don't know what that guy is smoking, but NASDAQ 5000 this year would be a 125% gain from last week's low. Ain't gonna happen, IMHO.

I will be more than happy if the NASDAQ can add 20% from current levels between now and April 1st. If it does, I will sell tech stocks into the rally, hold cash over the summer and forget about stocks for awhile, and reevaluate in September or October. Should the NASDAQ retest the lows or go down to 2100 (as several anal-ysts predict), I will jump in with both hands and feet and load up on the QQQ's. While there may be more profit to be made in guessing what the next moon-shot will be, or which downtrodden stocks selling at $2-3 dollars will go to 5 or 6 dollars, I am through playing that game. One thing about the NASDAQ 100 Index (QQQ's) -- you know it will not lose 80-90% of its value and be stuck there for the next five years.

Weird Timing DI. I just was reading this on investor links.
Market Timer Digest's Top Market Timers, having won 17 annual timing awards since 1989.

Did some DD on this guy. Not too good of a record.

Predicted gold would take out all-time high in Feb. 1999.

Calls for Dow 40,000 in May 1999
StockHouse: The US stock market's still on a track for 40,000-60,000?
Wolanchuk: It'll go beyond that. Nothing's going to stop it, except a shrinkage in the world's population. My initial target for the Dow, 16,600, should come here in a matter of weeks or months.

Called the April 2000 the absolute bottom for the Nasdaq.
StockHouse: Was yesterday the bottom of the NASDAQ?
Wolanchuk: Yeah, sure. The NASDAQ - you'll never see that level again in your lifetime. Never.
