The difference is that it doesn't characterize anyone that I have seen. The critics are very critical but they have facts and figures to back them up. They make logical arguments and then defend them without hiding. There is no effort to discredit BB and you shouldn't say there is unless you can back up your claim. Well, I don't expect to convince you. It's hard to prove generalities. People can read the various threads themselves and form their own conclusions. I have seen facts posted selectively on both sides. Maybe you think that only Brinker's defenders do that. The important thing is to recognize the temptation to try to color the truth by omitting facts contrary to the position being argued for, and do our best to avoid it. I have given a complete history on Suite 101 of my use of aliases there, and my reasons for doing it, if anyone is bored enough to want to read it. You must admit that you went on quite a rant there for a while, and I overreacted.
