Detective won't face sex charges

By RYAN OLIVER
REVIEW-JOURNAL

A Las Vegas narcotics detective suspected of having a sexual relationship
with a 16-year-old boy won't be charged with any sex crimes by
prosecutors, who said any such charges would be discriminatory toward
homosexuals.

Detective Vinten Hartung, 42, remains under investigation for two lesser
charges of stalking and furnishing alcohol to a minor.
