Wayne, I think the swoon and bounce in the dead internut stocks is directly related to tax selling and restocking. Tax selling and restocking does not cause either, but it makes the moves more dramatic. After all, a stock had to already be down before you got a tax loss in the first place. The fact that Alan da Printer is making money easy to come by adds fuel to this tendency. Ditto for big losers like ATT. But I don't think it has had much impact on the majority of big stocks, which is why the Dow isn't rallying like the Nasdaq.
