I am hearing many say that the Feds want the NAZ over 3,000 but signs are that we might need to get well into Feb. or even March before we get there. If the Markets have already priced in a 50 point cut at the end of the month and 25 at the next meeting after that, will the Markets be disappointed to get the reverse -- 25 this month and 50 the next? Probably at least a litte...and if we get anything less than 75, than all bets are off for 3K anytime soon. But I just can't see the Feds being unaccomodating at this point and expect they are listening to what the Market is telling them very carefully.

Now that selling may be slowing we need buyers and should get more of them every week, once we get well into and past the peak of earnings season. But even that expectation assumes that the outlooks of the major players will not be too severe.

Tough to handicap but 3,000+ by April 1 is my guess, if not a little sooner.
