Andre, my usual retail checks were flush with SanDisk's product at the end of last week.

Also, most of the cards sold on Amazon.com now "ship within 24 hours"
and relatively few are listed as "out of stock" or "ships in 1-2 weeks".

Here is an article on hot consumer electronics products.

"Non-PC devices will drive electronics market in 2001"

webserv3.startribune.com

Well, there are some 280 million Americans.

Of those, 60% of households have a PC.

Penetration of the use of the PC has tapered off.
PC box makers are now in the business of replacing
older boxes and the period of steep growth has
trickled off as the influx of new users fades.

Unit sales growth of consumer electronics devices
is impressive. The article states 9,000,000 DVD
players were sold in 2000 compared to only about
700,000 units in all of 1998. Other statistics show
worldwide unit sales of cellphones was 450 million
last year. And digital cameras, handheld computers
and MP3 players are some of the most popular items now.

Let's hope the trends continue in 2001.
