Growth is the holy grail of the markets. Without a decent rate of growth in Web useage, the current difficulties experienced by virtually all participants in the web (i.e., few make significant profits) will only be exacerbated. As I noted, a remarkable percentage of current web useage relates to stocks. If the stock market continues in a bear market, the current margins (historic) ensure that many participants will be "taken out". I would be surprised if they returned for additional punishment.

If I am correct in this assessment, web useage could actually fall. But even if I am over-stating the situation, web-related stocks that have been driven to mad heights could tumble much further.
