People change their sexual preferences just like they change careers or their eating habits. I know countless children who are well aware that Mommy or Daddy is gay and/or have remained together for the sake of their children. The parents are still good friends but the marriage has been restructured for the benefit of the child so the child can live in the same house with each parent. So, to answer your question Karen, the child is an integral part of the arrangement and is well aware of it. I'd call that love and consideration.
