Randy: Thank you for the short but accurate assessment. What did I do? <g> Glad I could provide helpful info, but I was actually just supplying a link to one I2 article from TMF... I have not pursued further understanding of either I2 or ARBA. For now, I'm thinking I have my own software gorilla (RATL), though they may be less gorilla than others. We'll see. Rational, at first glance, is easy to understand: they lead the software development tools industry. Their CEO emphasizes their belief that software is the world's most important industry, and that (as Oracle points out), software powers the Internet. The new thing for them is their move towards an "HDS" or "hosted development service". That's an ASP model for software development. It's been fun to watch, and will hopefully continue that way for many years <g>.
