This whole options granting situation sounds panicky to me. There was a "one-time only" grant last year at ~67 which is way under water today. Now, looks like another grant, this time a preponed one. I wonder how many other companies have such a big problem that they have to let loose the spiggot on the options grants. And if this is not happening in other companies, is msft in really big trouble that nobody knows about ?? What about SUNW/ORCL ? Does anyone know how many options do they grant per employee per year on an average ?
