I keep long term and short term separate and concentrate here on short term. In the past year I have not been inclined to add to tech for the long term. I own some tech -- LSI for example and will probably add LSI this week. In the past year I owned stocks outside tech such as NBR at $26, SWC at $27, SIL at $8 and NEM at $28. I own ISLD and have averaged my cost to 12 -- along way from market value, but we all make mistakes. I owned AOL and sold it a month ago. I have been in and out of AMAT, ATML and SNDK in the past couple of months. I have been highly critical of AMZN for a couple of years and bought puts on AMZN with reasonable success. My longest holding was IBM from 94 to 99 -- I would have to check the dates, but it was good for about 450% return. I typically hold a long-term stock for 3 years. I have much smaller positions in other stocks. I like to own stock. I just think that some got way over-valued in what we now call the "bubble". I don't like BS hype and people who don't know what they are talking about and/or people who just make things up.
