I started several in the past four years...<g> here are two of the current ones: Subject 37041 Subject 22893 The funny thing is, I used to be a liberal and over time I saw the problems and shortcomings in the numerous ways liberalism has evolved to it's current form... my visit here was to discuss the issues with those who have current liberal views, but before the first serious word was ever addressed, I was greeted with venomous remarks by the more dominant posters here on this thread... I over looked the remarks and continued to make conversation, but at some point I began to realize that the loudest posters on this thread have no real understanding of the issues and have no genuine interest in having a meaningful dialogue..... this does not mean that all the posters here are that way, but it's very difficult to continue any discussion with anyone who is unable to refrain from taking snipe shots at a every serious post... despite a lengthy post, a single word is taken out of context and all that is otherwise said is discounted... why waste time with that kind of nonsense... and comments that follow are "Who needs that right wing extremists here, anyway..." By my visit here, posters with today's liberal views had every opportunity to sway my thinking back to their perspectives, but they missed that opportunity, they have failed miserably..... Have they only proven to me that I was right and that the current liberal agenda is shallow and defenseless? Time will tell..... Poet and I have come to a mutual respect, and my dialogues with Poet and a few others clearly shows that a good discussion is possible... GZ
