Tenchusatsu, From the little reading I have done, the noisiest part is the power supply and it's fan(s). That's the best place to start your silent conversion / upgrade. Good power supplies are apparently Antec (here is one): antec-inc.com or Enermax (here is one): enermax.com.tw You always have to "attack" the noisiest part first. The second noisiest part is either the case fan or the CPU fan. Supposedly the quietest case fans are Panasonic Ponaflow, but the downside is that they don't have the built in RPM meter. In my case, the thing that's driving me absolutely crazy is the hub/switch for my home network. It's the smallest and noisiest part that I have here. I am thinking about replacing it with a good home router / NAT device. Joe
