(OT) W Molloy: well the problem, I think, in the UK is that the cost of SMS is way over priced - great for operators! I also get charged 10p an SMS and sometimes it is practical, however my call charges can be lower than 5p a minute and I certainly can talk more than write a text message! I agree though at peak rate and on pre-paid that SMS is ideal. There are now discussions about levying a 3p charge for SMSing onto another network. M
