Jeff, It's actually pretty humorous. Having lived in both northern and southern... and "the real northern" california I can tell you this. Folks in the Bay Area call themselves Northern Californians and they despise the Southern Californians. The Southern Californians (and you can include those in San Diego) don't really care what the Northern Californians think... they just don't really have the time... it's just not worth spending time on. I should point out that the folks in San Diego and LA get along fine.... they both don't really care about that non-sense. Now, the True Northern Californians - Those NORTH of the bay area find it hilarious that those in the Bay Area call themselves Northern Californians... They see the Bay Area as Central California... and they see no difference between living in the city in the bay area or LA.. it's all the same to the bohemians in true northern california. The fact is - there is little difference between central and southern california.... except that folks are a bit more edgy in the bay area. The true unique area is in true northern california... now that place is freaking wierd. eeer...eeeer.... got a clip dude? OG
