Bob - thanks for all your discussion. Sometimes the same thing is called different names by different people so I was just checking. There are a variety of different step shapes in uptrends which all have declining volume. The selloff gets weaker and weaker until the stock starts moving up again. I've only rarely seen CNBC so I don't know those guys. I have rarely tried to trade intraday. Trying to day trade in highly liquid markets seems to me to be pretty impossible to do successfully as an individual and frustrating in less liquid ones where few trades take place. Dave
