I agree with you about the semi problems provided you agree that there are semis and semis.

I don't understand why a lot of gurus lump BRCM and AMCC in with AMD and INTC. It's like saying cats and elephants the same thing because they are both animals.

The box guys have made it clear that there is a glut of boxes out there and businesses going belly-up make even more boxes available. There is no driving force available to make people buy new boxes (P4 didn't make it). This makes it look like a dry spell for the semi guys in boxes. Note how INTC is trying to find new markets to get into.

However, the broadband optical semi guys are another story. AMCC, BRCM and PMCS will continue with growth.

Agree with your analysis...Tuesday not good. Would guess that by Friday, however, we will be moving up again.
